Abstract
We searched about the nasal deformity associated with cleft lip, regarding the best ,me to operate and the applied techniques for its repair. Comparing the results of achtechnique. There are three surgical techniques for cleft lip nasal deformity repair : closed ndonasal rhinoplasty, open rhinoplasty (both applied to immediate nasal repair) and ,ate nasal repair either using open or closed approach. In our work, we applied open inoplasty and closed endonasal rhinoplasty for the nasal repair and open rhinoplasty or the late nasal deformity repair. We found, the best result regarding the time with .the immediate nasal repair. On using the open techniques the results are superior to the closed one. Conclusion: Immediate nasal repair along with the repair of cleft lip is better than the late nasal. repair and on using open technique for rhinoplasty the results are better than that of the closed technique for rhinoplasty. No fear from cartilage growth retardation during using open rhinoplasty technique for immediate nasal deformity repair along with cleft lip repair, The bone defect of the maxilJa and premaxilla must be repaired first, before nasal repair to obtain good results.
