Abstract

We conclude that consideration of the qualitative features of OWl and ualitative and quantitative features of PWI studies are important area of particularly where recanalization therapies are being onsidered. Variations in the pattern of abnormalities, which are present lwithin minutes of infarction onset, may refine clinical decisions regarding pathophysiology, including decisions for patients who present beyond ’currently accepted therapeutic time window (first 6 hours), Also MRA and postcontrast Tl WI may be helpful in-diagnosis of some patients of hyperacute stroke so they should be added to the protocol of hyperacute stroke. Also, Our results demonstrate the association between relative CBV measurements and the histopathologic grade of astrocytoma. These measurements allow an evaluation of the tumour grade that is not possible with conventional MR imaging. RCBV maps provide a relatively simple method of obtaining functional parameters that reflect tumour vascularity. The maps and measuring of maximum relative rCBV are clinically useful for determining the best stereotactic biopsy site for accurate grading of the astrocytoma. Also in our study, OWl couldn’t differentiate between different types of glioma of delineate tumours but it may add some information in differentiation between solid and cystic components. We bel ieve that relative rCBV measurements and the tCBV color maps may be helpful in differentiation between peritumoural edema and neoplastic infiltration that due to the neoplastic infiltration joined by neovascular formation.
