Abstract
The aim of this work is to study the relationship between vitamin E levels and levels of bilirubin and blood lipids including cholesterol, triglycaride and total lipids in mother’s during delivery, new born and early childhood. In the present work normal mothers during delivery were selected from the department of obestatrics at Mansoura University Hospital and also normal infants during first year of age were selected from the departement of pediatrics at Mansoura University Hospital. They were divided into the following groups. Group I: Comprises 20 normal. mothers during delivery. Group II: Comprises 20 normal new born during delivery from the same mothers and the samples were taken from the cord blood. Group III: Comprises 10 normal breast fed infants aged 6-18 months. Group IV: Comprises 10 normal bottle fed infants aged 6-18 months.From all these cases blood sEmples we.ce taken and the serum levels of vitamin E, bilirubin, cholesterol,
