Abstract Interest in the study of glycosylated Hb was - creased as the observation showed that levels of HbA % i,, ,eased from 2-3 fold in diabetic patients and could ref,previous metabolic control (Gonen et al. 5 1 977 ) . In this study 38 diabetic patients (211 males females) were selected on basis of blood sugar levz--s exc- eeding 120 mg% 2 hours after glucose load (0.75 c7,Kg body weight. The diabetic patients were subdivided into subgrou-ns. 1.Mild diabetic group: 120-180 mg/dL 2-h post pra7,dial blood glucose. 2. Moderate diabetic group: 180-240 mg/dL 2-h pos-,- pran- dial blood glucose. 3- Severe diabetic group: > 240 mg/dL 2-h post pra-dial blood glucose. Also 12 healthy individuals were selected on zasis of normal blood sugar to act as a control group. |
