Abstract Although, the normal coagulation system is delicatley balanced to respond to vascular injury with efficient formation of thrombin and generation of fibrin, several mechanisms exist to prevent thrombus formation of limit its extent these mechanism can be performed through natural coagulation inhibitors. These natural coagulation inhibitors include antithrombin-111, protein C and S. This assay in C.H.D. may be important and formative such cases. The present work comprised the study of 31 cases with C.H.D. besides 10 controls. The necessary clinical and laboratory investigation had been carried out for all subjects. In addition, AT-111 and PC & PS were assayed. Nautral coagulation inhibitors have a definite role in the pathogenesis of ischaemic heart disease. Antithrombin-111 (AT-111) is the most sensitive marker in the segrigation of patients with definite varietis of presentation of C.H.D. firom control. On the other hand, protein S activity is considered as a marker for the electromechanical marker of such patient during the stable & unstable angina pain but not during AMI. |
