Abstract The material of the present study included 504 young healthy subjects with their age ranged from 5 to 35 years ; 252 females and 252 males. All subjects were subjected to through clinical and full Echo Doppler examination .The test group was classified into female and male groups. Each grup was further subdivided into 3 subgroupon the basic of theirage. Our study revealed:- •11.31 % overall incidence of mitral valve prolapse by parasternal long-axis view and 19.25 % overall incidence of mitral valve prolapse by apical four chamber view. •16.75 % overall incidence of MVP in female group by parasternal long-axis view and 25 % overall incidence of MVP by apical four chamber view. •6.35 % overall incidence of MVP in male group by parasternal long-axis view and 13.49 % incidence of MVP by apical four chamber view . •The includence percentage of MVP was significantly higher in female group when compared to male group. |
