Abstract

Naphthalene quenching of anthracene-toluene solution. The relation between the intensity of mission and anthracene concentration at three values of naphthalene concentration have been studied fig. (8). From this figure it is noticed that increasing naphthalene concentration, the intensity of fluorescene decrease for all values of anthracene concentration. Fig. (9) shows the relation between the intensity percent and naphthalene concentration, from it we noticed that, naphthalene concentration of 10g/L leads to reduce the relative intensity percent to 50% This means that naphthalene is a poor quencher for anthracene-toluene solution.
