Abstract
In the recent years, the increase in the geographical data and the wide range of internet users leads to the need of building GIS application for the Internet. GIS is used in different fields like ( Map making, site selection, emergency response planning, simulating environmental effects and sharing geographic information in distributed databases).This GIS Internet based system is applied to one of the newest and fast growing Egypt cities, Hurghada City. Hurghada become internationally known and attract a huge number of tourists, which are increasing yearly. The study focus on three main objects of the city (the airport, a tourism project _Golden 5 City and the public hospital). Java language is used for its unique features in building Internet applications as it is object oriented programming language, platform independence, multithreading for multimedia performance and its compact code that designed to move quickly across the Internet. This study faces a lot of difficulties due to the extensions and renewing of buildings of our subjects and as a result a process of updating data had taken places. Secondly the project collection data process was the most difficult process because a lot of maps, engineering drawings are missing. Eventually the employers and stores data is converted to database records for the first time leads to the need of training the users to deal with it.
