Abstract This controlled study was carried out on forty patients. They were allocated through a controlled blind study into 4 groups. G1 received ropivacaine 0.375% 1ml kg1, G2 received ropivacaine 0.375% 1ml kg1 mixed with midazolam 50 <U+00B5>g kg1, G3 received ropeivacaine 0.375% 1ml kg1 mixed with tramadol 2 ml kg1 mixed with tramadol 2 mg kg1 and G4 received ropivacaine 0.375% 1ml kg1 mixed with midazolam 25 <U+00B5>g kg1 and tramadol 1mg kg1. The patients were monitored through 3 lead ECG, pulse oximeter, capnography in addition to the non invasive B.P. from this study, it can be concluded that the use of caudalepidural ropivacaine and tramadol provides good analgesia with longer duration and less side effects. |
