Abstract The present study the following points were investigated: 1?Acute toxicity and laboratory performance of warfarin and difenacoum. 2?The susceptibility of rodents to warfarin. 3?Hematological effect of warfarin and difenacoum 4?Toxicity of four plant oils, and two insecticides (pyrethrum and malathion) to S.oryzae, R.dominica and T.castaneum . 5?Adults progeny reductionn . 6?Effect of four plant oils and and two insecticides (malathion and pyrethrum) on wheat grains germination. It can be concluded that 1st generation anticoagulant rodenticides still to be considered of the effective control materials against rodent pests of storage in Egypt, at the same time, no concrete evidence of anticoagulant resistance was found in wild rat species of Dakahlia. On the other hand, the use of plant oils against insect pests of storage proved to be relatively environmentally safe and efficient control method. New research in this direction are to incorporate this method in insect pest management programs of storage area in Egypt. |
