Abstract Children with chronic brachial plexus birth palsy have problems related o their shoulder. Specifically, internal rotation and adduction contractures develop because of the loss of muscle balance about the glenohumeral joint. With ime progressive and predicatable deformity of the glenohumeral joint occurs. Activities requiring the arm, such as grooming, eating, and over head reaching will be diffcult or not possible. |
