Abstract
The present work deals with the study of the field relations between the different rock types exposed in Wadi Nasb area and their structural features. The petrographical studies will be applied for proper rock identification and nomenclature. The major oxides and trace elements geochemistry of the rock types will also be studied to identify the magma types, petrogenesis and tectonic settings of the granitoid and volcanic rocks. The distribution of U and Th in the different rock types and the anomalous sites. The radiometric anomalies associated with granites will be investigated and also the radioactive minerals responsible for the radioactivity. Scaning Electron Microscope and x ray diffration methods were used to identify the radioactive minerals.
