Abstract The present work is assigned to study the corrosion behaviour of 304L stainless steel in hydrochloric acid solution and the inhibiting effect of thiazole derivatives. The obtained results showed that the inhibition efficiency of these derivatives increased by increasing their concentration and decreased by raising the temperature, so that the adsorption of these derivatives is physical adsorption and follow Temkin isotherm. The inhibition efficiencies also increased by addition of potassium thiocyanate . Some thermodynamic parameters are computed and discussed. The influence of chemical structure of these thiazole derivatives on their inhibition efficiencies was discussed. This study is applied study to the corrosion which found in AboZaabal Company for Fertilizers and Chemicals in it?s product lines and storage tanks. |
