Abstract
The work recorded in this thesis deals with the development of new plastic membrance electrodes for potentiometric determination of silver (I), chromium (III), zinc (II) and cadmium (II) ions by design a PVC membranes. The best electrodes have been selected by studying the properties of these electrodes. This thesis is divided into four chapters and covered by 215 references and the experimental results are presented in 41 tables and 48 figures. Chapter 1 presents an introduction on various types of analytical methods, types and charateristics of the ion selective electrodes.
