Abstract In typhoid fever the common clinical features are abdominal pain, and vomiting which has been reported by MUlligan (1971) and Duggan & Beyer (1975). Stuart & Pullen (1946) found nausea & vomiting in (54.44%). Jonathan (1968) found vomiting in 23% of cases with salmonellosis, symptoms related to upper gastroin¬testinal tract in the presence of fever may be due to pathological changes in the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum. So, the aim of the work is to studY the upper gastrointestinal endoscopic findings in relation to some fevers and to find the correlation between the severity of upper gastrointestinal symptoms and upper gastrointestinal endoscopic findings. Our work done on twenty five patients with typhoid fever and upper res¬piratory tract infection with age range between 17 : 55 years, eighteen males and seven female and divided into two groups: First group: typhoid fever group consists of ten cases, seven males and three females and age ranged from 17 : 27 years. |
