Abstract

PSychological troubles. bad posture. cold and wet climates( .Smythe•1972). The syndrome may bS manifested by paip, tenderness.stiffness. PSychological upset and sleeP disturbances • The most common feature in this syndrome is the presence of one or more of myofascial trigger points which are hyperirritable loci within a taut band in the skeletal muscle or its associated fascia. These spots will refer pain to predictable sites. The laboratory findings are usually normal ( Cailliet.1981). In this work. we tried to recognise the ~lial~l basis tor the disgnosis of myofascial trigger points syndrome. to assess its incidence in cases with cervico- brachial neuralgia, to evaluate and compare the efficacy of some of the methods used for its treatment •
