Abstract
The purpose of the present work was to exploit these characteristic features of ethy1 3.5 - diary1- 2 -cyclohexene-1-one-6-carboxylate (1a.b) toward the synthesis of novel chemical structures along the following lines :- 1-Aromatization reaction. 2 - Condensation reaction with malononitrile. 3-Synthesis of bridged amine rings. 4-Ring expansion reactions.
