Abstract
many countries, infection with HBV is endemic in many parts of the world with the highest rate of transmission occurring prenatally from chronically infected mothers to their newborns, the number of chronic carriers worldwide over 250 millionsy those developing chronic hepatitis showed a poor cell mediated immune RESPONSE to the virus, impairment of humoral and cell based immunity thus determine the outcome in type B hepatitis. This study was focused on study of IL2 , IFN CK in chronic hepatitis B in children. This study was conducted an 36 chronic hepatitis patients (23 male . 13 female) and 10 control, measurement of IL2 in supernatant fluid obtained after induction cell blast transformation by phytohemagglutinin revealed that there was significant decrease in IL2 levels in all groups compared to controlgroups which m,ay be due to decreased T cell growth invitro, decrease number of T helper, or due to primary defect in monocyte we measure interferon alpha in all groups and control and we found that there was high level of the mean valve in all groups compared to the control.
