Abstract The aim of this work was to stud3 the effect of ox3fedrine (ildamen) on respirator3 function tests in patie¬nts with COLD and patients with I.R.D. The material of thisstud3 comprised 40 individuals categorised into three groups: Group I: COLD patients (20 cases). Group II: IHD patients (10 cases). Group III: Control group (10 health3 individuals). All cases were subjected to the following: - Clinical assessment which includes thorough histor3 taking and clinical examination. - Laborator’j’ and inst.I!umental investigations comprised: Urine ana13sis. Stool ana Lys Ls Blood urea Fasting blood sugar X-ra3 chest and heart Electrocardiograph3 Ventilatorj’ function tests (V.C.; lilVCb1EV1, ]’EV1% of predictive, FEV1/F.V.C. ; M.B.C. and M.B.C.% of predictive) before and 30 minutes after oX3fedrine administration to all patients of COLD (20 patients). |
