Abstract The aim of this work is to study the incidence of strabismic amblyopia in squint. Two hundred and fifty cases of squint were examined, their age were below 10 years. It was found that 44% of squinting patients have strabismic amblyopia. It was found that most of cases of unilateral squint with amblyopiao were convergent squint. The depth of amblyopia increases with increase the duration of squint and with age. There was no definite relation between the angle of squint and depth of amblyopia. Also, the study showed that most of convergent cases were hypermetropes while most of divergent cases were my opes. |
