Abstract
This study was carried out to illustrate, aeaaur and evaluate the primary health care services delivered to the under -5 year children at EI-Baramoun rural hea¬lth centre in Dakahlia governerate in the period between 1979 - 1984. This Study Includes: 1- A retrospective study and analysis of data collected from records of EI-Baramoun rural health centre, in order to assess the progress in primary health care using some basic national health indicators as : 1. Imuunization ooverage.• 2. Infant and child mortality statistics. 3. Morbidity study for par~sitic infestations. 11- Nutritional status measurments as: 1. Birth weight. 2. Weight - For - age • .3. Height - For - age. for a sample of 600 under -5 children taken as avai¬lable, they were 304 boys and 296 girls. The res¬ults were , as follew.
