Abstract Dithiocarbazates and its derivatives as well as their metal complexes are frequently used as anticancer, antitumour, antituberculosis, antibacterial, antifungal and antipyretic agents. All studies on metal chelates formed with S-benzyldithiocarbazate or its schiff bases formed by its condensation with aldehydes or ketones suggested that the ligand could be present either in thione or thiol form. |
