Abstract
For deep-bar induction motor a mathematical thermal model of the rotor-bar during the starting period has been developed the model is suggested to suit both electrical and thermal conditions occuring at starting.It takes into account the actual distribution of the current density along the bar-depth under skin
effect during this period.According to the model concept, the cross-sectional area of thebar car. be divided into n thin sections,for which n first order
differential equations’, in term of the section temperatures, can be written.
