Abstract The present work deals with the subsurface geology of the Gulf of Suez Region, Which is the most petroliferous area in Egypt. More than 3.4 billion barrels of oil had been produced during the last 100 years from different rocks ranging in age between basement granites to Middle Miocene. This study has been based on analyzing the subsurface data and stratigraphy of more than 214 representative wells offshore as well as land wells drilled for oil in the present Gulf area. |
