Abstract
Hexamminecobalt(III) tricarbonatocobaltate(III) (HCTC) is a stable tervalent cobalt complex. In acid medium it releases free Co(III) ion and is thus capable of oxidising certain moieties embedded in pure pharmacodynamic molecules in situ. In this thesis, HCrC has been reapprai-
ed in a study on certain pn~maceuticals, namely; phenoothiazines, antimony(III) compounds, reserpine and thioxannthenes. As a result; new titrimetric and fluorimetric methods for the semi and microdetermination of such compounds
