Abstract Lake Burullus, is the second largest Delta in Egypt, and located at the northern part of the Nile Delta, stretching between both Nile brances. Huge amounts of drainage water enter the lake via several drains, causing a rise in the lake level above sea level. Sea water floodding into the lake affects mainly the region of ”Boughaz El - Burullus”. The water depth varied from 70 to 240 cm, increases gradually from east to west and from south to north. |
