Abstract This study was carried out on 25 patients, 13 male and 12 female [with their age ranged from 22 to 70 years selected from vascular surgery unit and internal medicine department, Mansoura University Hospital. Fifteen normal subjects of matched age and sex were Jntroduced as a control group for comparative analysis. The primary goal of this work was studying changes in pulrnonary valve anatomy and pulmonary valve haemodynamic changes among patients with DVT by using echocardiographic doppler technique and to correlate such changed if present with some clinical, laboratory, radiological findings and other echo parameters. The study further extended to include comparison between those patients with first time DVT and those with recurrent DVT in order to detect the effect of duration as well as the severity of this peripheral thrombotic event on cardiopulmonary status. The study revealed that : Symptoms and sings of PE as dyspnea, chest pain, haemoptysis, tachycardia and cyanosis were less frequent in our result in comparison. |
