Abstract

In this thesis, the mixed variational formula of Reissner is extended, based on the Lagrange - Maupertuis principle, to study the dynamical problems of anisotropic elastic bodies. As an application of mixed Lagrange - Maupertuis variational formula, the small vibrations of an anisotropic rectangular plates is studied.
