المستخلص

The research aims at identifying the level of effectiveness of some Attack and defense tactic performances and their relations with the results of World Cup matches. The researcher used the descriptive methoedology with the survey technique . The sample was 320 players representing 16 teams. They were followed through 16 matches, representing 25% of the matches of the championship. The main results were that 50% out of the total scoring came from finishing the attack while ball is in the game, and 50% from finishing the attack from stationary positions. 25% of the matches ends even and penalties were the descive factors in the matches’ results . There is a reverse statistically significant relationship between correct coverage, press on the attacker and recovering the ball in most areas of the field, and the results of the matches in the research sample . The researcher recommends that the Egyptian football Federation disments the following applied recommendations amongst coaches of national teams and clubs : 1) Paying attention to train players to end attack from stationary positions in an innovative and creative techniques, as much as the care given to ending the attack while the ball in the game. 2) Paying attention to train players on techniques of individual defense as well as group defense all over the field . Paying attention to train players on defensive and attack positions of penalties, for all players, continuiouslly , and in everyday training sessions .
