Abstract
The present study is the first to deal with the determination of physicochemical parameters in relation to the M.B.I. in El Serw fish farm which is situated on the west southern shore of Manzalah Lake near El Serw navigation canal about 200 km. north east of Cairo. It consists of three types of ponds. 27 spawning pond with area ranging from 25m2 to 100m2 , 8 nursery ponds each has an area of 400m2 and 18 rearing ponds with areas ranging from one feddan to about 3 feddan and these rearing ponds all together have an area of 36.5 feddans.
