Abstract
The helminth parasites schistosoma SPP. ifect 5 to 10% of the world’s population,500 millions being exposed to the risk of infection, although active drugs such as praziquantel are available, evidence is now accumlating that if they can reduce the overall incidence of severe forms of the disease, they don’t prevent reinfection and have little effect on already developed hepatosplenic manfestation.
