Abstract
This study is concerned with the behavior of solutions of second order ordinary linear differential equations. This thesis consists of five chapters as follows: Chapter(1) (Basic definitions and theorems) contains the form of the used equations in this study, the purpose of the study and the used transformations, basic definitions and fundamental results, and a list of some known oscillation and nonoscillation criteria . Chapter(2) (Oscillation and nonoscillation theorems using Prufer technique) contains Prufer transformation, auxiliary lemmas, and new theorems using Prufer technique. Chapter(3) (Generalizations of known criteria in oscillation and nonoscillation) contains Riccati transformation and oscillation, auxiliary lemmas, and generalization of known theorems in oscillation and nonoscillation. Chapter(4) (New oscillation and nonoscillation criteria) contains new theorems in oscillation and nonoscillation, auxiliary propositions, and some other results in oscillation and nonoscillation. Chapter(5) (Relation between the solutions of linear nonhomogeneous equation and the nonhomogeneous term) contains preliminary lemmas and main results.
