Abstract

The present study was conducted to evaluate histologically and radiographically the effects of Emdogain® Gel, Alendronate solution, Stannous Fluoride, and Citric acid conditioner on root surface healing of intentionally reimplanted incisors in a dog model after 30 and 60 minutes extra alveolar dry time, followed up for 4 and 6 months follow up periods. Root resorption and ankylosis were increased significantly with increase in extra-oral dry time. These unavoidable healing reactions following delayed dried replantation can be decreased; but not prevented by root surface treatment by Emdogain, Alendronate, and Stannous fluoride. There was a statistically significant more root structure in Emdogain, Stannous Fluoride, and Alendronate treated roots than in control and Citric acid roots. of treatment methods prevents root resorption and ankylosis.
