Abstract
Many series of organic compounds were reported to possess considerable molluscicdal activities.isobutyltriphenylmethylamine and tritylmorpholine proved to exhibit marked toxicity against bulinus truncatus and biomphalaria alexandrina,the vectors essential in the life-cycle of schistosomes in egypt In the present investigation and on the above basis trity1 moiety was incorporated with different aimo compounds in order to obtain new series of n-trity1 compounds to be evaluated as molluscidal agents Considering the mollusicadal activity induced by certain carbony1 compoundes, new series of chalcone analogues derived from 4-(tritylamino) acetophenone were prepared Basides, the molluscicidal activity displayed by certain phenolic compounds and certain tritylamino.
