Abstract
This research aims to examine the effect of deep breathing exercises and cough on pulmonary complications after surgery in patients with thoracic surgery has been selected sixty chest surgery patients assiut university hospital were divided into two groups of equal first 30 patients carried out the exercise (control group) the research has included the work of exercise before and after surgery where blood samples were taken and a blood gas and respiratory functions over the three days after the operation (24 hours 48 hours 72 hours) and following the identification of patients who suffer from pulmonary complications after the operation and depending on the result of the analysis.
