Abstract The present study displays that the first dermal bones appear in the skull at 9th day of incubation. At the same time, the ossification begins in some cartilaginous bones. The skull is completely ossified at 16-days embryo. In the vertebral column, the ossification begins to appear by the 14th day of incubation at the neural arches of the cervical vertebrae. Both the sacral region and caudal region did not ossify until hatching. The acidic sulfated mucopolysacharides (chondrotin sulfate) are recognized at 6-10 (during formation of cartilage). The carbohydrates are highly concentrated at 14-days.The content of carbohydrates increases prior to the increase of acidic sulfated mucopolysacharides (chondrotin sulfate). The ribs appeared as short cartilaginous rids at the 5th day of incubation. The vertebral ribs begin to ossify by the end of the 12th day.The first appearance of the pectoral rudiments is observed at the 5- days’ embryo. While, the ossification is pronounced in the sternum at the 12th day, in the coracoid at the 8th day of incubation and in the middle part of the scapula at the 9th day embryo. In the meantime, the first appearance of the two bony clavicles is represented at the 9th day of incubation. |
