overall the world .Heavy metals considered as a main sources of environmental pollution. Several environmental toxins such as lead and cadmium may be playing an important role in promoting and accelerating of many disease.
Chronic, low level exposure to toxic metals in an increasing global problem. The heavy metals reaches to us by air, soil and water.
So the present study was carried out to evaluate the effect of lead acetate
and cadmium chloride and trials to minimize the in side effects by consuming dill, coriander and broccoli.
This work was carried out on 70 adult rats of Sprague Dawely strain. The
mean weight of female rats ranged from 110 ± 5 g for 8 weeks. The rats were classified into 10 group, five rats in each group, as following control negative group, lead acetate only or with dill, coriander or broccoli, cadmium chloride only or with dill, coriander or broccoli, and lead acetate and cadmium chloride with dill, coriander and broccoli
The study revealed the following results:
1. The chemical composition of experimental vegetables.
Dill, coriander and broccoli composed of protein, fats, ash, moisture and
carbohydrat where the values being 0.37 , 1.59 , 6.01 , 90.01 and 2.02 in dill respectively, and 0.16, 1.50 , 11.01 , 85.02 and 2.31 in coriander respectively
