The proposed methodology is to use the age-specific graduated mortality rates for the construction of an abridged table, then using an appropriate expanding method to construct a complete table. This is to be done by the following steps:
•Gathering the required data and categorizing it into appropriate age intervals.
•Obtaining the Central mortality rates for all intervals in the abridged table using the appropriate formula. There are several methods for computing (qx) from (mx) values; such as Reed–Merrell’s formula, Greville formula, and other specific formulas for special age intervals in the table.
•Constructing an abridged life table based on the values of (qx) after graduation.
•Expanding the abridged table to a complete table using appropriate methods; such as:
Expanding according to a mathematical formula (Makeham, Gompertz, Barnett, Heligman and Pollard, and Gompertz-Makeham Formula).
Expanding using formulas based on calculating pivot values (Sprague’s Method ـ King’s Method ـ Kostaki’s Method ـ Lagrangian Formulae).
•Analysis of the results.
