Abstract The present experimental work was carried out under the supervision of the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Moshtohor), Zagazig University (Benha) during the period extended from january, 1992 up to april 1994. Rats are one of the most abundant and dense mammals on earth. It is rapidly reproduce and capable of causing significant economic losses in many areas as well as transmit many diseases to man such as plague, salmonellosis, rabies and hymenolepiasis. The rat also contaminate the human food. The adequate measures for its control are required to prevent hazard to human life. The present study aimed to test the effect of ultrasonic stress and aldomet (a-methyldopa)on the reproduction and fertility of some wild Egyptian rats in a trial to detect an efficient physiological non toxic method for controlling and combating this harmful pest. |
