Of agric., mansoura univeisity during the two growing summer seasons of 1995 and 1996. the crops of sunflower oil important in many countries of the world where ranks second after soybean productivity in terms of merit. And started planting sunflowers in Egypt since 1949, newly During the last five years has increased the cultivated area where it stood in 1996, about 76 160 acres with an average yield of 951 kg of seeds per acre. In recent years, the greater the need for the cultivation of oil crops in order to narrow the gap between production and consumption of vegetable oils, which have become not meet more than 20% of our needs. Prompting the state to import more than 80% of vegetable oils for this turned attention to the possibility of cultivation of sunflower in land newly reclaimed to afford to adverse conditions, especially in sandy soils and due to his rival for the summer crops Home in land old valley such as cotton, rice and maize. So began the modern trend in cultivation in the New Territories. Influenced by the amount of yield and oil content in sunflower cultivar cultivated and some agricultural operations basic, such as the needs of fertilizer, especially fertilization integrated nutrient major such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium for this purpose this study was conducted in order to study the response of some varieties of sunflower fertilization nitrogen as well as phosphorus and potassium.
