Abstract The effect of applying time of nitrogenous fertilizer, calcium superphosphate and pulling dates on the yield and quality of both seeds and fibers of flax plants were studied using Giza 4 cultivar. The investigation was carried out at Sakha agricultural experiment station in A. R. of Egypt, during 1970/1971 and 1971/1972 seasons. Four application times of nitrogen fertilizer were followed, I. e. before sowing, before the 1st, before the 2nd and before the 3rd irrigations, respectively, three levels of calcium super phosphate, i. e. control ( no calcium superphosphate ), 100and 200kg. calcium superphosphate per faddan were added and five pulling dates, i. e. beginning 130 days after sowing and by intervals of twelve days, i. e. 130, 142, 154, 166 and 178 days after sowing were investigated. |
