Abstract The genetic materials in the present study included three barbadense varieties, four hirsutum cotton varieties and 42 hybrids resulting from complete diallel cross mating xsystem between seven varieties. These seven parental Varieties were: Barbadense varieties included. Giza 75. Giza 45 and Dandara-1 2- Hirsutum varieties included : F-108. Macnier 220, Tamcot sp. 21 Sand Tashkent-l. The purpose of the present study was to determine the performances of Fl hybrids between G. barbadense L. and G. hirsutum L. for that purpose. The 42 crosses were used for the determination of the effects of the genetical factors on the expression of eight charscters under normal environmental conditions. the studies were undertaken on the Fl S. Flr S reciprocal and F2 generations of oiallel crosses. The study included the estimation of heterosis as the increase of the Fl hybrids in performance above the averager of their parents. inbreeding depression, as well as the general and specific combining ability were estimated to determine the additive and dominance components.. |
