Abstract The present work inoludec B complete surtrery of mites inhsbi•Ging vegeta.bles and ornamental plants together with the biology of Brevipalpus obovatus Donnadieu; end Tydeus californicus (Be.nks) on one vegetable and two ornamental plants for each mite species. (A) Suryery: Survery revealeo the occurence of 40 species of which 25 phytopnagous;,ll predaceous, and 4 of debatable mites .feeding ha.bits, Of the phytophagous mites, Tetranyohus arabicus Attiahj T.cucurbitBceB~ rum (Sayed); Eutetranychus orientslis (Klein); Brevipalpus obovc-:tus Donnadieu; ~.phoenicis (Geijskes).
