Abstract

Three hundred pigeons old were collected from different markets and sectors at Dakahlia provine. The clinical signs of pigeons infected with pox were severe weakness, loss of appetite and cutaneous lesions on the unfeathered parts of the body. with the presence of intracy to plasmic inclusion bodies with some bacterial colonies. Trichomoniasis: The clinical signs of pigeons suffered from trichomoniasis were loss of weight , stringy mucous in the mouth and caseous plug in the pharynx. Coccidiosis: The clinical signs of coccidia in our work revealed sudden decrease in either water or feed consumption, Liquid feces and extensive inflammation with severe congestion and heamorrhages in the intestine Nematodes: The clinical signs were loss of appetite and the birds become thin and anemic with retardation of growth. Cestodes: the clinical signs of birds infested with tape worm were anemia, loss of weight and the presence of large numbers of worms in the intestinal lumen. Salmonellosis: The clinical signs of birds were loose greenish discharge and Histopathologically, the liver of affected pigeons showed congested sinusoids and hemorrhages with multifocal replacement of hepatic cells with leukocytes mainly heterophils, lymphocytes and macrophages.
