Abstract

The purpose of the present investigation was to study the effect of nitrogen mineral and biofertilizer, phosphorus, organic matter addition, tillage treatments on both sunflower growth, yield Variety vedoc, and some soil physical properties. Two separated field experiments were carried out at EI-Serw Agricultural Research station, Demitta Governorate, during summer seasons 1998 and 1999.
The first experiment: The experiment of Part (1) of this study consisted of 24 treatments, which replicated 3 times. 12 treatments treated with 20 m3 FYMlfed (OM), and the other 12 treatments without OM, 6 treatments inoculated by cerealin and the other uninoculated. Three treatments treated with 15 Kg P20S and the other without, the last each of the three treatments treated with rate 0, 30 or 45 Kg N/Red. This design was split splity plot design.
The second experiment: The same design was in the second experiment, and the same rates of bio and mineral nitrogen, organic matter, but tillage treatments (15, 30 cm depths) were replaced organic matter in the main plots, and organic matter replaced phosphorus in sub sub plots with nitrogen fertilizer levels.
• Plants from each experimental plots were collected at flowering and mature stages to determine growth parameters.
