Abstract

The efficacy of several insecticides was evaluated in laboratory and field trails against sucking pests. The results could be pointed out in the following points..
A- LABORATORY STUDY
The laboratory study was conducted by dipping the cotton seedlings in a series of diluted concentrations and then infested by the AphiS gossypli . The mortality counts were taken 24 bra after initiation of the test. The results indicate that Methomyl and Cypermethr1n gave the highest efficiency while Vamidith10n represents the least toxic compound. Regarding the residual toxicity, it was found that Cypermethrin Was the most potent insecticide followed by the Trlzophos.
B- Interaction between herbicides/insecticides on the population density of sucking insects.
: I. Season 1280
1.It Was found that using the herbicides in the cotton , fields decreased the population density of the sucking insects in general
