Abstract
The present study deals with the geology, hydrogeology and hydrochemistry of the Quaternary Nile Delta aquifer. This is based on data obtained from more than hundred deep oil wells and shallow observation water wells drilled in the delta. Published informations on stratigraphy, structure, sedimentology, geomorphology, climate, hydrology, hydrochemistry and water levels of this aquifer in the last four years, in addition to the physical and chemical properties determined by the writer for 94water samples collected from the observation wells wells in October 1981 and March 1982 and compard with that of the Nile River and the Mediterranean Sea water.
