Abstract

We conducted a pot experiment using lupine and wheat as indicator plants 10 evaluate the efficient use of fertilizer-N by them under conditions of water salinity levels and bacterial inoculation, The experiment consists of 72 pots, 36 pots for each plant Bacterial inoculants were applied as individual Azospirillum hrasile”se orRhizohium leguminnsarom and a combination of both, Water salinity were 0,3 (F, water), 3 and 6 dS m” levels, Salts usually affect in plant growth because of the osmotic effect At tbe same time, high salt concentration increase the potential forces that hold water in the soil and makes it more difficult for plant roots to extract water. Wheat ( Triticum aeslivum L ) and lupine (Lupinus Albus L) are ranks as the world’s most important economical crops, Some of its species (salt tolerant) are adapted to producing high yields under less favourable ecological conditions than is required for other field crops, Salt water used in the present study, in addition to bacterial inoculation derived us to some of the important conclusions, The recalled data obtained in this work gave us the opportunity to conclude the followings:
I. Part One
A. Lupine Experiment
The most important results released from this experiment could be summarized as following:
1. Both the water salinity levels and bacterial inoculation more or less bad a synergistic effects on lupin seedling length.
2. On the basis of overall means of seedling length, the water salinity levels have the following order: 6 dS m” > 3 dS m” > fresh water.
3. Likewise seedling length, the fresh weight was enhanced by increasing water salinity levels.
4. Distinguish between bacterial inoculum reflected the following orders:
Under F. W,: Az+Rh <Azospriillum > Rhizobium> Uninoculated under 3 dS m-1 Az+ Rh <Azospriillum <Rhizobum Uninonoculated
under 6 dS m-1 : Azospriillum < Uninonoculated <Rhizobum <Az+Rh.
