Abstract
The aim of the work: This study aims to determine the causes of recurrent dacryocystitis after surgical interference and proper management for each cause. Material & Method : One hundred patients with recurrent dacryocystitis after failed dacryocystorhinostomy were included in this study. The patients were selected from those attending El-Mansoura ophthalmology centre Results : Mansoura T-tube technique with double silicon stint (91%) , Flap anastemosis with double silicon tube stint (83), Mansoura T-tube technique with single silicon tube stint (75%), while the Flap anastemosis with single silicon tube stint and Mansoura T-tube technique without silicon intubation show the same results (58%). Conclusion : The major causes of recurrent dacryocystitis related to operative faults so the proper site and size of osteotmy is very important to avoid surgical failure. El-Mansoura DCR with double silicon stint is most effective surgical procedure in revision DCR
