Abstract The skeletal and myological components of the limbs were studied in seven species of rodents from different habitats. They are ranged from desert regions (Gerbillus pyramidum, Gerbillus gerbillus, and J. Jaculus)to vegetative areas (Acomys Cahirinus, Cavia porcellus, Rattus norvegicus, and Mus musculus). Also the locomotor behaviour of these species was studied as a trial to relate the comparative anatomy of their limbs to their motion performance. |
